Glass Tree Cabin
The De Nest is a clear glass tree cabin with a tent-style stay. The room includes air-conditioning, a kitchenette, and a private bathroom with both a bath and shower. From the bed, you can watch birds in the trees. The owners designed and built the cabin themselves, adding personal touches like twinkly lights.
Kitchen and BBQ
There is no restaurant on site, but the cabin has a kitchenette with a microwave, electric kettle, and mini fridge. A barbecue area with all necessary utensils is provided for braai. A coffee station is also available for making your own drinks.
Outdoor Activities
For leisure, guests can use the outdoor bath under the trees, relax on the deck seating, or listen to the fountain. The area offers hiking, wine tasting, and gin tasting. A local gin distillery is a short drive away.
Location and Access
The cabin is just outside Montagu, 200 km from Cape Town International Airport. It's a short drive to town for shops and restaurants. Nearby activities include wine tasting, gin tasting, and hiking.
Host Services
The hosts speak English and provide clear check-in instructions and route directions. They are available to suggest local places to visit. Free WiFi and free parking are included. The property is non-smoking.
“This glass-encased retreat understands the power of seclusion, placing you amidst the rustling trees for genuine peace. Thoughtful details, from the outdoor bath to the well-appointed amenities, elevate the experience beyond mere accommodation. It's an immersion in nature with all the comforts, making for a truly restorative escape just moments from town.”
